Dexter M. Holder, 47, of Bridgeport, passed away on January 9, 2016.  He was born on October 26, 1968, in Stamford, CT to his loving parents John and Betty Holder.  
Dexter graduated from Jonathan Law High School and later completed 2 years of Hotel Management at the University of New Haven.  After graduating he worked in the food industry as a chef as well as in the medical field as a C.M.A. (Certified Medical Assistant). In his spare time Dexter enjoyed singing, watching Star Wars movies, reading and traveling.
Along with Dexter’s parents John and Betty, he is survived by his brother, Dale Holder; daughter, Jessica Bisonette Holder; step-daughter, Fanny Smith; step-granddaughter, Malaysia Smith; his former wife, Renee Smith Holder; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends.  
A Prayer Service will be held on Saturday January 23, 2016, at 1 p.m. at CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT.  Interment will be private.
