Mildred H. Frey, currently of N. Branford, former resident of Orange and also of Haines City , FL. and beloved wife to John A. Frey, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Evergreen Woods in N. Branford.  Born in Derby, CT, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Tessie Martin Green.  Prior to her retirement, Mildred was the payroll manager for Hershey Metal Products in Ansonia. Active on fairs and fundraising with the Church of the Good Shepherd, Mildred also gave her time volunteering to the Red Cross of Milford and Griffin Hospital. While her daughter was growing up, Mildred served on the PTO/PTA in school and served as a Girl Scout leader in Orange. She had a role in setting up the Hershey Frey Scholarship for students with University of New Haven to be awarded aid for the pursuit of science and engineering, with her husband John, set up the Frey-Hershey Foundation which funds programs that serve their community.  Her outgoing personality and sense of humor will be deeply missed by friends and family.

In addition to her husband, John of 61 years, she is survived by her daughter, Jane Frey-Gudjohnsen and her husband Einar of Bethany; two cherished grandsons, Joshua Gudjohnsen of Hoboken, NJ and Jonathan Gudjohnsen of Black Rock; her brother, William Green of Stratford and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence, Irving and Robert Green.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 31st at 11:00 am (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH) at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 680 Race Brook Rd., Orange with interment to follow at Orange Center Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are being handled by the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 680 Race Brook Rd.
