Arthur Richard Haury, 87, of Milford, beloved husband of Elaine Daley Haury, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2017.  Born on December 29, 1929 in Passaic, NJ, he was the son of the late Gertrude Louise Stiles and Arthur Francis Haury.   

Richard graduated from Hopkins Grammar School, Class of 1947, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at Princeton University in 1951. After graduating, he joined the family business, Harloc Products Corporation, where he became president and CEO. He was active in his community and enjoyed his long time membership at the New Haven Country Club

Richard is survived by his children, Gretchen (Dennis), David (Carolyn), Sally (Nathan), Katherine (Alvin), Amy (Mark), Lisa, Christopher (Trudy), and was predeceased by his son, Matthew (Kym). He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, one great grandson and his extended family of children, Cindy Dirgins and John Donnelly.

Our wonderful Dad, and dear husband to Elaine, will always be remembered for his sense of humor, eclectic mind and adventurous spirit. We will miss him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 9 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at King’s Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT.
