Anna M. Strachan, 92, of Milford, beloved wife of the late John P. Strachan, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2017. Anna was born on January 18, 1925 to the late Sam and Rosa Dummitt Haddad.

Anna was a past member of the Daughters of Lebanon. She also served as the cafeteria manager at Orchard Hills Elementary School for many years. Anna enjoyed taking trips to the casino, weekly card games with friends, and traveling. 

Anna is survived by her daughter-in-law, Denise (Robert) Heinig; grandchildren, Eric (Suzanna) Strachan Heinig, Kyle Heinig and Alyssa Heinig; great grandchildren, Aiden, Jace and Tucker Heinig; brother, Ferris Haddad; nieces and nephews, Sandra (Joseph) Stalling, John (Kathy) Strachan, and Jeannie Wood; great niece, Jenn Strachan; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Anna was predeceased by her son, John Henry Strachan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford, CT. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven, CT. Friends and family may call from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fisher House Foundation at fisherhouse.org.
