Claire L. Cavallaro, 81, of Milford, beloved wife of 60 years to Peter Cavallaro, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2017. Born on May 7, 1936 in Quincy, MA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Nora Caswell.

A graduate of Milford High School, Claire went on to work at U.S. Motors. Once she started a family with her high school sweetheart, Peter, she took some time to raise her children before returning to work. She was employed at Milford Citizen, American Mutual, and eventually Orange Research, before retiring. Claire was a devout catholic who attended mass at Saint Mary Church every Sunday. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for her grandchildren, word searches, trips to the casino, walking with friends, and spending time with her loving family.

Along with her husband, Claire is survived by her children, Peter (Sharon) J. Cavallaro of Cleveland, OH, Paula (Chet) T. Rutkowski of Ansonia, Michael (Kim) L. Cavallaro of Milford, and Brian (Rebecca) D. Cavallaro of Roslindale, MA; grandchildren, Deanna (Cameron), Heather (Anthony), Eric, Casey, Korinne, Tyler, Amelie, and Maxine; great grandchildren, Troy, Brandon, and Mateo; and many extended family and friends. Claire was predeceased by her son, Gabriel; and brothers, Richard and Robert Caswell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford.
