Gaston B. Chandler, 85, of Milford, beloved husband of 39 years to the late Bertha Chandler, passed away on June 17, 2017.  Born on November 23, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Gaston and Hurley Chandler, Sr.   

Gaston was a Jehovah’s Witness and Elder in the Woodmont Milford Congregation. He loved spending time with his family and preaching to others.

Gaston is survived by his children, Cynthia (Gary) Dolphin, Denise (Nathaniel) Thornton, and Derek Chandler; grandchildren, Jared Dolphin, Jennifer Cazales, Sharla Woolley, and Marcus Thornton; great grandchild, Chance Dolphin; sister, Catherine Chandler; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandson, Jason Dolphin; and siblings, Douglas Chandler, Alvin Chandler, Beverly Armstrong, and Blonza Chandler.

A graveside service will be held on July 1, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry Street, Milford, CT 06460 (MEET DIRECTLY AT CEMETERY). A Funeral Talk will be held at Kingdom Hall 210 Old Grassy Hill Road, Orange, CT 06477.
