Joseph Michael Del Prete, Sr., 85, of Milford, beloved husband for 66 years to Antoinette Melone, passed away on February 13, 2017. He was born in the Bronx, NY on November 23, 1931 to the late Vincent and Maria Del Prete.

One of Joseph’s passions was woodworking and he loved to make wooden trains and toys for all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed camping at Sebago Lake in Maine. Joseph loved being surrounded by his family, especially for Sunday dinners that everyone was expected to attend.

In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his children, Vincent (Suzanne) Del Prete, Joseph (Linda) Del Prete, Jr., Marie Worroll and Donna (Rick) Allen; grandchildren, Caitlin (James) Bruni, Sherri Lynn (Dave) Veilleux, Michael Del Prete, Christina Del Prete, Jennifer (Dan) Esposito and Rich and Nicole Allen; great-grandchildren, Vincent and Matthew Bruni; his sister, Rosemary Del Prete; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Del Prete.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Friends and family may call on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
