Joseph Francis Monachelli, 85, of Milford, beloved husband of Pamela Monachelli, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017. Joseph was born on May 15, 1931 in Jessup, PA to the late Enrico and Mary Monachelli.

Joseph graduated Central High School in Bridgeport and then attended Juilliard School for two years. He then joined the Army where he was stationed in Korea. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 15 and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit 15. Joseph also was a longtime Mason with Lodge 127 and enjoyed playing the trumpet.

In addition to his wife, Joseph leaves behind his daughter, Lisa Monachelli; his son, Jeffrey (Carrie) Monachelli and their children Lydia and Wesley; and his siblings, Henry (Ruth) Monachelli of Trumbull, Eleanor Monachelli of Florida and Lucille Langford of Florida.

Services will be held at a later date.  The family is being compassionately cared for by the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street Milford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DAV Auxiliary Unit 15, PO Box 3064, Milford, CT 06460.
