Joseph J. Prisco, Sr., 93, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Anna Rose Prisco, passed away on June 18, 2017. He was born on January 25, 1924 in Bridgeport, CT to the late John and Margaret Prisco.

Joseph was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He served on the Destroyer Escort the U.S.S. Foss from 1943 to 1946. After serving his country, he was a Heating Superintendent for the City of Bridgeport until his retirement. Joseph was an avid political spokes-person in the City of Milford, CT who advocated for the senior citizens of the area. He was a lifelong sports fan who loved the UCONN Women’s Basketball team.

Joseph is survived by his sons Joseph (Janis) Prisco, Jr. and Daniel (Jane) Prisco, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Anna Rose and his two daughters Katherine and Margaret.  

A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 N. Broad St., Milford, CT. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Avenue, Milford, CT. Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 N. Broad St., Milford, CT.
