Kenneth M. Aldrich Sr., 88, of Milford, beloved husband of Margaret Brennan Aldrich and the late Lois Hatch Aldrich, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2017 in Milford Hospital with his loving family by his side. Ken was born in New Haven on March 28, 1929 to the late Anna Mary McCaffrey and Louis E. Aldrich. He was educated at the Junior College of Commerce in West Haven and New Haven College.

He served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Ken was retired from the United Illuminating Company in 1990 after 37 years of service. He was proud of his career there beginning as a meter reader in New Haven, progressing to stock handler and being promoted to the position of General Storekeeper. He enjoyed participation in many religious and service organizations especially The Knights of Columbus Russell Council, and the American Cancer Society. Ken was a lifelong Green Bay Packers and Boston Red Sox fan.

Ken is survived by his children Cynthia (John) Stasko, Gail DeLucia, and Kenneth, Jr.; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his son Gregory R. Aldrich; his brothers Thomas and Russell, and his sister, Charlotte Stackpole.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven, CT. Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford.
