Peggy Rogers (Margaret Hainsworth Rogers), 62, of Milford, beloved wife of Robert J. Rogers, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2018. Born on June 11, 1955 in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Marie Hainsworth.

Along with her husband, Peggy helped operate Center Towing & Truck Repair in Milford, CT. Peggy was an active member of the Milford Rotary Club, serving a term as treasurer. She was an adjunct professor at Gateway Community College for over ten years. Peggy was an avid music lover and enjoyed singing with local bands and choirs. With her daughters, she organized several local theater performances, both directing and performing. She loved to travel and made lasting friendships on her many cruise trips. Peggy loved to spend time on her boat or at Pinewood Lake, soaking up the sun with a book in her hand. She was a strong and passionate person who lived life fully.

Along with her husband, Peggy is survived by her son, Kevin Rogers; daughters, Kimberly (Gerrit, Jr) Blauvelt and Kelsey Rogers; sister, Sally (Jeff) Huyser; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Mark) Frankel Bridges, Jennifer (Daniel) Searles, and David Laidlaw; and great nieces and nephews, Erin and Dylan Bridges and Jacob and Julianna Searles. Peggy was predeceased by her sister, Betty Frankel.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. at First United Church of Christ, 34 West Main St., Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford. Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mailed to the Rotary Club of Milford, P.O. Box 381.
