Share Tribute:

Richard Allen James, 70, of Milford, beloved husband of Linda Byers James, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2017.  Born on March 1, 1947 in Milford, he was the son of the late Donald and Ruth James.

Richard spent his childhood on Myrtle Beach in Milford and attended Jonathan Law High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he became an electrician with IBEW 488 and then worked for many years in Bridgeport Hospital as a project manager. Richard was always a beach kid at heart and he loved fishing, clamming and gardening. He also enjoyed going to Carvel on Wednesdays but most of all, he loved being with his family and friends. More recently, Richard could be found sitting on his front porch waving to all who passed by or walking the block to check on his neighbors.

After being found safe by a community of search and rescuers, he later succumbed to his past medical problems. The family would like to thank the entire community for coming out that day and finding him; Milford Police, Milford and Greenwich Firefighters, Southbury Rescue, postal workers, neighbors, friends and loved ones. We are so blessed to live in this community. Thank you so much.

In addition to his wife, Linda, Richard is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kasuba and son-in-law Ed; sons, Jason and Ryan James; cherished grandchildren, Tyler and Jake Kasuba, Corey, Aaron and Alexis James; as well as, many cherished sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his twin brother, Roger and his older brother, Robert.
