Robert J. Walsh Jr., 53, of Milford, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on October 6, 2017. Born on September 10, 1964 in Milford, he was the son of Elizabeth M. Walsh and the late Lt. Col. Robert J. Walsh, Sr., Ret.   

Bobby was a student at Saint Mary’s, Central Grammar and went on to Milford High School. After high school, he graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. He was a member of the Carpenters Local 210 in Monroe. He was a self-employed carpenter for many years before eventually working for the Walsh Construction Company of Chicago where he supervised special bridge projects and repairs locally and throughout New England. Bobby was a gifted athlete, playing football for the Baltimore Ravens and excelling in every sport he tried. He was an avid New York Jets and New York Yankees fan and attended their games as much as possible. In his free time he enjoyed trout fishing in Monroe. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Bobby is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth M. Walsh of Milford; his son, Tyler Peppler of Pennsylvania; brother Bruce F. Walsh of Stratford; and sisters, Diane Walsh Piatak, also of Stratford and Lynn M. Walsh of Milford. He was predeceased by his brother Kevin Walsh of Stratford. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. Interment will be at a later date. Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the funeral home.
