Roberta E. Lee

Roberta E. Lee, 82, of Milford, passed away on July 24, 2021. Born on March 8, 1939 in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late I. Albert and Grace (Howard) Lee.  

Roberta was a graduate of Mary Washington College (University of Virginia) where she received her Bachelor’s degree and she subsequently earned her Master’s degree in Connecticut. Roberta taught mathematics from 1966 to 2002 at Staples High School in Westport. Her favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and the UConn Lady Huskies, provided her with many hours of enjoyment in her retirement, as did her Morningside garden.

Roberta is survived by her twin sister, Alberta Lee Chappell of Lynnfield, Massachusetts, many members of her extended family, friends, and professional colleagues.

A memorial luncheon gathering of family and friends will be celebrated on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at the Milford Yacht Club, 131 Trumbull Avenue, Milford CT. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roberta E. Lee Memorial Scholarship Fund for the benefit of high school students pursuing higher education in the field of mathematics, c/o Atty. Christopher B.
