Albert Joseph Olenski, 88, of Milford, beloved husband to Michalina Pupa Olenski, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2018. Albert was born on September 10, 1929, in Milford, CT to the late Chester and Anna Olenski.
Albert, also known as “Uncle Bim”, was a member of the Milford community his entire life, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He was a Sergeant in the Army Reserves and one of the earliest members of the TKS. He was an avid baseball fan, faithfully rooting for the Boston Red Sox, and enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible. He was a beloved volunteer at St. Mary’s School affectionately known by the kids as “Mr. Push” for always being happy to push them on the swings. His favorite things to do were spending time with his grandchildren and visiting Mohegan Sun Casino. He was a faithful parishioner at Christ the Redeemer Church. His presence and infectious smile will be missed, but never forgotten.
In addition to Michalina, his wife of 53 years, Albert is survived by his children, Albert W. (Anna) Olenski and Michael (Grace) Olenski; his grandchildren, Jessica, Anthony and Steven Olenski; his brothers, Chester, Anthony, and Henry Olenski; and his sisters, Helen Rice and Irene Eagles; and many extended family members and friends. Albert was predeceased by his brothers, John, Joseph and Stanley Olenski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Rd., Milford, CT. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford, CT. Friends and family are invited to call that morning, Friday, July 6, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
