Alfred E. Benjamin, 81, of Milford, beloved husband of Mary Ann (Barnick) Benjamin passed away on September 10, 2021. Alfred was born in Milford, Ct on November 24, 1939 to the late Forrest and Olive Benjamin.
Alfred was a very talented professional and spent his life honing his skills as a Master Carpenter. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ Congregational in Milford. Alfred was an avid car collector and loved everything Packard. He was a history buff and was a member of the Milford Historical Society, he spent his spare time at local flea markets looking for antiques, tools and car parts. Alfred was also a dedicated Shriner and enjoyed entertaining at parades with the little wheels.
Alfred was a loving husband, father and grandfather and leaves behind his wife, Mary Ann; his three children, John, Judy and Ann Marie Benjamin; and one grandchild, Norah Kravet. He also leaves his sisters, Clara Belle Cukale and Carol Arpino; and many nieces and nephews and a large extended family. Alfred was preceded in death by his mother and father and three brothers Deforest, Clinton and Herbert Benjamin.
A Graveside Service will be celebrated on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10 am at Milford Cemetery, 35 Gulf St., Milford, Ct. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Alfred’s name.
