Alfred H. Dello Russo

October 20, 1930 ~ November 14, 2021 (age 91)

Alfred Henry Dello Russo, 91, of Orange, beloved husband of the late Shonnie Dello Russo, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2021. Born on October 20, 1930, he was the son of the late Alfphonse and Mary Dello Russo.

Al proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a dedicated employee for 40 years at Sikorsky, retiring in 1996 as a Manufacturing Manager. Al was a member of the Milford ASA Umpire Organization for 40 years; in 1994 he was inducted into the CT Umpire Hall of Fame. In his free time, Al enjoyed watching his favorite sports: baseball and football, as well as gardening. He had a soft spot for animals of all kinds; there was never a time he didn’t have at least two cats and a dog at his house!

Al leaves behind his stepson, Dean Smith and his wife, Patricia Wynus; sister, Loretta Dugan; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother, Johnny and his wife, Louise; and brother-in-law, George.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
