Alice M. Head, 86, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Raymond S. Head, Jr., passed away peacefully on May 16, 2017. Alice was born on June 10, 1930 to the late Francis and Loretta Pursell.

Alice was born and raised in Milford and graduated Milford High School. She worked for many years as a supervisor at Casanova Candy. Alice’s role as a mother and grandmother was first and foremost in her life. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren and her legacy will live on with all the memories they created together. She taught her children and grandchildren to have patriotism and love of country and to always place your faith in the Lord. Alice will be truly missed for her compassion, kindness and warm hearted nature by everyone whose life she touched.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Carol Ann LaPlante and her husband Edward, Laurie Glenn and her husband George and Renee Head; grandchildren, Jaclyn LaPlante, Brian LaPlante and Hunter Glenn. Alice was predeceased by her siblings, Frances Driscoll, Rosemary (Morton) Ellsworth, Louise (George) Knott and John (Betty) Pursell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford, CT. Burial will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT. Friends and family may call from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street Milford, CT.
