Tribute

Anne L. Lisk (Lynch), 87, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. The devoted wife of the late Roger E. Lisk, she was born on February 1, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., daughter of the late Thomas and Mary McAndrew Lynch. Anne moved with her family to Connecticut at a young age. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1948.

Anne met the love of her life, Roger Lisk, in 1948, sharing a first date at Pepe’s Pizza. They married on September 2, 1950 in Bridgeport and moved to their lifelong home in Milford in 1955. Anne was an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, a member of St. Mary’s Guild, and enjoyed serving as a greeter at church.

Anne held many jobs during the course of her life, including secretary at General Electric, contract typist at Sikorsky Aircraft, sales representative for Dutchmaid, and office manager for Dr. Vicente Batiancila. The roles in which she took the most pride were loving wife, mother to her four children, and dedicated grandmother and “GG” to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anne loved all things Disney, was an expert baker, and was very proud of her Irish heritage. She loved traveling and camping. Her favorite travel destinations included Cape Cod, Disney World, Ireland, and national parks. Anne excelled at making others feel comfortable and putting people at ease. She enjoyed socializing and sharing her gift of gab, telling jokes and making people laugh. She loved dancing, singing, seeing musicals, hosting holidays and Sunday dinners, playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, visiting the casino, watching game shows, and eating sweets. Most of all, Anne loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Roger Lisk Jr. (Roberta), Margaret Anne Persico (Gary), Kenneth Lisk (Clarissa), and Mary Grace Leone (Daniel), and her loving grandchildren - Sean (Paige), Erin, Gary, Danielle (Bryon), Cathleen, Brian, Eduardo, Ernesto, Karina, Kristen (Ryan), Matthew (Jennifer), Lindsay and Kathryn Anne. She also leaves behind 5 great granddaughters who she adored – Grace, Ava, Lily, Emma and Molly Anne. She is also survived by her sister, Mary DiBattista and brother, Joseph Lynch, and many nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her brothers, James, Thomas, Raymond, Gerard, Patrick “Buddy” and Francis Lynch.
