Anthony Gagliardi, Jr,

Anthony Gagliardi, Jr., age 83 of Milford, beloved husband of Beverly Kelley Gagliardi, died in the early morning on the anniversary of his mother’s death on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.  Anthony was surrounded by his devoted family. Born in Bridgeport, CT on September 1, 1934, he was the son of the late Anita and Anthony Gagliardi, Sr. He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1954 with a  degree in printing management. Anthony was the manager of all printing and supply operations at the Knights of Columbus International Headquarters in New Haven for 32 years. While employed there, he was honored to personally meet with Mother Teresa of Calcutta and was blessed to have provided her with printing services for her Order.  

Anthony was the past president of the New Haven Craftsmen Club, the Connecticut Valley Litho Club and the Holy Name Society at Christ the Redeemer Parish.  He was a 3rd degree member of Milford’s K of C Tinto Council and a charter member of the 4th degree Father Breen Assembly. He served on the Alumni Committee for RIT and enjoyed coaching local soccer and baseball teams for many years when his children were young.  

Anthony’s survivors include his dearest friend and loving wife of 52 years and a son and daughter who he cherished.  Anthony “Buddy” Gagliardi, III and his wife Denise of Cromwell, CT and Kelley Anne Tarricone and her husband, George of Orange, CT.  He is also survived by his grandchildren whom he adored. Anthony “Tino” Gagliardi, IV and Gia Rose Esposito. In addition, he leaves two adoring sisters and brother-in-laws and two loving sister-in-laws: the late Theresa Cingari and her husband Russell formerly of Easton, CT; Carole Jane Costanzo and her husband Raymond of Trumbull, CT; Maureen Bilodeau of Leominster, MA; and Mary Kelley of Fitchburg, MA.  Finally, Anthony leaves behind several nieces and nephews who he treasured deeply: Reina, Deanna, Michael, Debranne, Scott, Steven and Danny.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Rd, Milford, CT. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave. Milford, CT.
