We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Cody-White Funeral Home
Arthur G Voccola, 80, of Milford, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022 at the VA Hospital in West Haven, after a lengthy cancer battle. Art was born in Bridgeport; son of the late Edward and Genevieve Roberti Voccola.
He is survived by his best friend and brother, Edward, and his beloved nieces and nephews, David, Dina, Jeffrey, Carol, Greg, and Kenneth. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Richard. Art proudly served in the US Army from 1959-1961. Art’s two favorite pastimes were golf and being at the beach. For many years after retirement, he spent his time on golf courses in both CT, and at his winter home in Davenport, FL, achieving three holes-in-one in his lifetime. He lived in the Walnut Beach neighborhood of Milford for over 30 years, and could be seen on his daily 3-mile walks along the boardwalk, even on cold and rainy days.
Per Art’s wishes, there will be no services. He hopes you’ll think of him during the first spring round of golf, or while spending a sunny day at the beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Art’s favorite charity, FISH of Greater New Haven. www.fishofgreaternewhaven.org/donate/
