Barbara June Dwyer, 75, of Milford, Connecticut, beloved wife to the late Robert Dwyer, passed away on September 12, 2017. Born on June 15, 1942 in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Norma Strang Weimann.   

Barbara graduated Milford High School in 1960 and was a life-long resident of Milford because she loved the beach and “had sand in her shoes.” She was also a devoted UConn Women’s Basketball fan, and was passionate about animals, traveling, and historical romance novels.

She is survived by her brother, William (Wally) Weimann of Georgia, her children, Jacqueline Dang (& husband Thanh) of Connecticut, John LaCroix III (& partner Wendy Kelsey) of Florida, and James LaCroix of Florida. She had 5 grandchildren: Natasha, Sarah, Taylor, and Bryce Dang, and John LaCroix IV; 2 great grandchildren, Kalen and Kailie LaCroix, and several nieces and nephews; and her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Sara. Barbara was predeceased by her sister, Noreen Foster.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017, at 12 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Interment will follow at Milford Cemetery, 25 Gulf St., Milford, CT. Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barbara's name may be made to the Animal Clinic of Milford, 135 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460.
