Barbara Ann Kocak, 73, of Milford CT, beloved wife of Andrew L. Kocak, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2017, at Milford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 23, 1943, in Stamford, CT, Barbara was the daughter of the late Charles L. Davis and Josephine (Kaelin) Davis. Barbara graduated from Stamford High School in 1961 where she became a member of the twirling squad. On June 19, 1965, she married the love of her life, Andrew L. Kocak. Together they welcomed 6 children, who were the center of her world. For many years, Barbara worked for the Girl Scouts of CT, where she continued to volunteer after retirement. She loved reading and dancing, but Barbara's true happiness lies with children and family. Her greatest quality was her ability to love. Barbara's family pays this tribute to her, "Barbara Kocak lived for the happiness of others and was the epitome of true selflessness." Barbara is survived by her husband and six children, Christopher (Theresa) of Bethel, David of Guilford, Sharon (Todd Shields) of Clinton, William of Milford, Tricia of Milford, and Daniel (Maria) of Ansonia; grandchildren, Alyssa, Melissa, Meghan, Eric, Lauren, Ali, Chloe, and Sophia. She also leaves behind her brother, Charles L. Davis Jr.; sisters, Florence Morck and Carol Moore; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving parents and sister, Josephine Melfi. Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
