Barbara Ann Zych

Barbara Ann Zych, age 87, of Shelton, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023. Barbara was predeceased by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband of 58 years Joseph Louis Zych, who passed away July 6, 2016.

Barbara was the daughter of Victor and Aldona Gregutis from Milford. Barbara grew up in the Walnut Beach area of Milford graduating from Milford High School. She worked 30 years at The Milford Bank where she retired as Manager and Assistant Treasurer. Barbara also worked at Alexander's and Hallmark Cards at the Connecticut Post Mall.

Barbara loved cooking, reading, Hallmark movies, and was an avid Neil Diamond fan. She was thoughtful, supportive, and always gifted the best cards for special occasions creatively decorated with colorful stickers making them extra special. In 2016 she rang the bell defeating stage 3 breast cancer.

Barbara is survived by her son Timothy Zych and his wife Annmarie; her daughter Karen Zych and her partner Paul Denhup; her daughter Amy Myers and her husband Douglas; cherished grandchildren Lily, Holly, and David Zych along with Ashley, Mackenzie, and Christian Myers.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church (70 Gulf St, Milford, CT) at 11:30 am on Friday, September 8, 2023.

Private cemetery services will be held by the family.
