Bridget Verespey

Bridget Verespey, 93, of East Haven, beloved wife of the late Elmer E. Verespey, passed away peacefully at The Village at Mariner’s Point, East Haven, on July 29, 2019. Born July, 1926 in Olyphant, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Krayniak Lisiak.   

Prior to living in East Haven, Bridget was a lifelong resident of Milford. She was a dedicated employee of Burndy Corp. Bridget was also a school crossing guard for Mathewson Elementary School and an active member of the Milford Senior Center. 

Bridget is survived by her children, Barbara (Henry) Yankowski and Nancy (Raymond) Henderson; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, sister, Helen (Lee) Wisniewski; and many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Bump, as well as brothers and sisters of the Shear and Lisiak families.

All services were private with burial taking place in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford. The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Athena Home Health and Hospice, 135 South Rd., Farmington, CT 06032 or to a favorite animal rescue/shelter.
