Camille M. Mazzella, 65, of East Haven and Milford, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2018. Born on March 31, 1953 in Bronxville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Mary Apicelli Cerasella.
While working at Nieman Marcus, Camille realized her passion for gemstomes and after retiring from a seasoned career in Investment Banking, Camille became a certified gemologist, and spent many years in the Diamond District. Camille “The Ladyinredbug”, known for her signature red glasses and oversized straw beach hats, enjoyed living at the beach, spending time with her Dalmatian, Champ, and the time she spent as a Milford Oyster Festival Committee Member. She will be greatly missed.
Camille is survived by her daughter, Ariana (Lorenzo Scotto) Mazzella, her beloved Dalmatian, Champ; her sister, Mary Frances “Fran” (Greg) McGuigan; her niece and nephew, Cara (Mark) Sullivan, and Brendan McGuigan; her many great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Friends and family may call on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Camille’s name may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance at www.ocrfa.org.
