Carl Dominick Giordano, Sr., 83, of Orange and formerly of Milford, beloved husband of Maureen Harter Giordano, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2018 surrounded by his entire family. Born on July 23, 1934 in Norwalk, CT, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Julia Giordano.
In addition to his loving wife, Maureen, Carl is survived by his children and their spouses, Donna & Brian May, Carl & Stacey Giordano, Jr., Lori & Gregory Peck, Tom Giordano & Denise Weaver, Beth & David Bradbury; his grandchildren, Brian & Jackie May, Julia & Nicole May, Michelle & Andrew Guilbault, Jessica Giordano, Alex Peck & Emily Diurno, Eric Peck & Hannah Williams, Olivia & Jeff Kurtz, Michael Giordano, Anthony Giordano, David Bradbury, Jr., Jack Bradbury, and Abby Bradbury; his great-grandchildren, Russell May, and Ryder Guilbault; his sister, Dolores Bottone and Gene Iazzi; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
A graduate of Fairfield Preparatory High School and Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Carl spent 35 years as the director of marketing at SNET. He had many positions as an elected official in the City of Milford, including Chairman of the Board of Alderman. Carl was an avid boater spending many years on his Spindrift sailing the waters of Long Island Sound.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Rd., Orange, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Saint Lawrence Cemetery, 280 Derby Ave., West Haven, CT. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
