Carmen C. Collucci

Carmen Charles Collucci, 90, of West Haven, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2017. Born on November 24, 1926 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Anthony and Sandalena Collucci.
Carmen served in the Navy during World War II on the destroyer, U.S.S. Frankford. He co-owned Collucci Bros. Construction Co. with his brothers, Phil and Tony, for 55 years. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed attending Super Bowls as well as travelling to Daytona to watch auto races. Carmen was also a past president of the Lions Club. He enjoyed bowling, boating and tending to the vegetables in his garden. His family was the light of his life and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Carmen is survived by his beloved companion of 40 years, Loretta Vitali; children, Thomas (Susan) Collucci, John Collucci, Paulette (Paul) Reynolds, Donna Collucci, Terri (Dave Tripp) Collucci, Margie Mayne, Gail (Robert) Maynard, Linda (Michael) Madar, and Elaine Vitali; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; siblings, Anthony (Joyce) Collucci and Joseph (Rose) Collucci; sister-in-law, Philomena Collucci; and many more extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Philip Collucci.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment with Military Honors will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford.
