Carole Louise Rennie, 72, of Milford, formerly of West Brookfield, VT, beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Anthony Rennie, passed into eternal light peacefully with her loving daughter, Barbara Rennie Orner and her loving partner Edward Barnard, by her side.
Born on the first day of spring, on March 21, 1948, to the late Carl and Barbara Bennett, Carole was a beautiful woman with a warm soul known for her deep compassion, generosity and humor. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including being together with family and friends. She loved her dog, Lola and four cats, Chelsea, Toby, Sofia and Jinx. Well known for her creative eye as a decorator and a green thumb, Carole delighted working in her floral and rose gardens, which attracted birds and butterflies of all kinds. She was known as the hummingbird whisperer. After settling in Stratford, Carole and Jack moved to Randolph, VT for 30 years where they tended to their “field of dreams” farm filled of animals and gardens galore. She also greatly enjoyed taking vacations with her family to St. Thomas and other beautiful islands.
Carole was greeted in heaven by her infamous husband, Jack; her parents; and her two sisters, Barbara Kowalkowski and Judith Homa. She is survived by her daughter and her partner; niece, Jessica Norton; and nephews, Adam Homa and Chester Kowalkowski. She also leaves behind her lifelong friends, Denise Carr and Billy Buhniak.
The family regrets to inform you that there will be no services held at this time, but plans a Celebration of Life in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any local animal shelter of your choice.
