David H. Kiley, Jr., 54, of Milford, beloved husband of Kathleen Kiley, entered into eternal rest on August 12, 2022. Born on August 2, 1968, in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of Patricia (Larry) Milligan and David H. Kiley, Sr.
David was born into a big and joyous family in Fairfield, CT. He became a star athlete while attending Fairfield Warde High School and Sacred Heart University. He loved coaching his children in their favorite sports and was thrilled to be the Saint Joseph High School Hogs mascot for back-to-back-to-back State championship victories. He was a man of deep faith and was honored to be a lector at Saint Mary Church in Milford, CT, where he lived for the last 21 years. He had a strong devotion to Saint Theresa of the Little Flower, especially during his brave four-year battle with lymphoma. He took care to comfort those less fortunate and always put others first. He had a great affection for animals. In his free time away from a job he loved, David enjoyed tending to his garden, rooting for the New England Patriots and Xavier University basketball, kidding his wife into thinking she had married a Red Sox fan, and planning family trips to favorite destinations. He was most at ease at “his” lake.
Along with his wife and parents, David is survived by his children, Christopher and Shannon Kiley; his parents-in-law, John and Eileen McNulty; beloved pets, Bear, Brady, Maggie, Jack, and Molly; and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Mark Kiley.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish) 70 Gulf St., Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield.
