Dina Marie Parlato

Dina Marie Parlato, Age 49, of Shelton, beloved daughter of  Linda and Dick Parlato , passed away peacefully with her family by her side in hospice on July 2nd. Dina was born on August 9, 1972 in New Haven. She leaves behind her brother and protector Christopher (Amy) Parlato, her loving niece Olivia and nephew Oliver of Cheshire. Dina was always happy and the life of the party. Dina’s outgoing personality, kindness and sense of humor touched everyone who knew her. The lives of many are better because of Dina.

Dina will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Dina participated in the Special Olympics for over forty years and loved bowling, swimming, tennis, and basketball. She worked at St. Vincent’s special needs day program where she touched many people and brought joy and laughter to clients and staff. Dina enjoyed spending summers in Sound Beach swimming in the ocean surrounded by family.

She resided at Cloverdale Group Home in Shelton where she was loved and cared for around the clock.

Thank you to the staff at Cloverdale, Hospice of Branford and her nurses at Bridgeport Hospital especially Agatha and Kayann.

Her family would like her to know that she is “loved dearly”.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. that day at Saint Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford. Interment will be private.
