Donald R. Bradford, Jr.

Donald R. Bradford, Jr., 74, of Milford, beloved husband of Yue Bradford, passed away on March 13, 2021. Born on March 19, 1946 in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late Donald R. Sr. and Shirley W. Bradford.

A graduate of Granby High School, Don went on to earn degrees from Greenfield Community College and UMASS Amherst. While Don may be best remembered for his time at the YMCA as Assistant Physical Director, he has held many other positions that served the community, from being a Franklin County Probation Officer, a Bail Commissioner, Guardian Ad Litum and Investigator for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Don also supported and volunteered his time as a Big Brother with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

Later in his career Don worked as an Agent for TSA as well as becoming both a Private Investigator and Private Pilot. After years of service, his most recent and much-loved career was traveling with his wife, Yue, to different parts of the world. He was a loving, giving, kind man that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Don leaves behind his wife, Yue Bradford; children, Donna Bradford and Rachael Bradford; grandchildren, Shayla Abbott, Michael Abbott, Lauren Bradford, Grace Emmerson, and Noah Emmerson; great granddaughter, Gabriella Emerson; and sister, Dr. Susan Bradford. He was predeceased by his daughter, Laurel Ann Bradford; grandson, Elijah Abbot, and his parents.

Services will be private at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation - ChristopherReeve.org/donate. The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at the Cody-White Funeral Home, Milford, CT.
