Donald D. Byrne

Donald “Donny” Dean Byrne, 84, formerly of Milford, passed away on March 18, 2023 in Pompano Beach, FL. Born on December 1, 1938 in Milford, he was the son of the late Arthur and Dorothy Byrne.

Donny had a smile that would light up a room & sense of humor & laugh that was infectious. He retired from the post office & worked at Raybestos prior to that. Donny was a talented piano & organ player & his favorite song to play was somewhere my love. He enjoyed going to Las Vegas, traveling & loved to cook.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his family & friends.

He leaves behind his brothers, George (Holly) Byrne and Leroy (Eileen) Byrne; as well as his nieces, nephews & cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur & Dorothy Byrne, His sister Dorthea, Brother Arthur Byrne & his wife Connie, Sister Phyllis Colluci, brother Robert (Dolly) and his partner Arthur Beckwith. He was loved deeply by his family & will be missed terribly.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home that day with a burial to follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to Elder Justice Foundation or the Dementia Society of America.
