Doris E. Faruolo, a resident of Seacrest Retirement Center in West Haven,
CT, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017. Born on December 13, 1921 in Staten Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Norris and Ethel Prall.

Doris was part of the Greatest Generation, volunteering as a Candy Striper where she helped the paralyzed young veterans from WWII. She met her husband, Alfred, when they worked together at Royal Typewriter in New York City and later married in June of 1946.

Doris moved to Milford in 1952 and for 62 years lived at 66 Marlboro Dr., providing a loving home for her husband and two children, Doreen and Ed. Her husband Alfred preceded her death in 1991.

Doris was a wonderful mom, Grammy, sister, aunt, and friend. Her loving touch will be missed by many. An amazing cook and perfect baker- her cookies traveled to many offices and military bases providing a sweet respite in times of war in Vietnam and Iraq.

Doris is survived by her children, Doreen (Jim) and Ed (Carol); grandchildren, Tony (Holly), Jaime (Justin), Alison (Kyle), Carl, and Dana (Dave); and great grandchildren, Zoe, Hunter, Phoebe, Brody, Coral, and Katie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT. Interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT. Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you bake some cookies and spend time enjoying your family.
