Doris M. (Gaynor) Mandeville

Doris M. Mandeville, 98, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Normand Mandeville, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020. Doris was born on October 26, 1922 in Bridgeport, CT, to the late Thomas and Melvina Gaynor.

Doris enjoyed spending time at the casino, playing cards and the slot machines as well as attending horse races in Saratoga, NY. She loved to travel and made trips to France, Ireland and Hawaii with her sister, Gladys.

Doris leaves behind her children, Barbara (Gary) Cucuel, Normand (Josephine) Mandeville, Patricia (Howard) Slason, Nancy (Stephen) Athanasiou and Joanne (Frank) Kondor; her daughter-in-law, Darlene Mandeville; grandchildren, Barbara Piotrowski, Thomas Cucuel, Christopher Collins, Kimberly Hoydilla, Deborah Bisch, Bridget Reardon, Anne-Marie McGreen, Michael Mandeville, Kevin Cucuel, Joseph Kondor, Nicole Towle and Amanda Kogan; and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Normand, Doris was predeceased by her son, Richard Mandeville; granddaughter, Margaret Cucuel; sisters, Marjorie Kelly and Gladys Lapsansky; and brother, Thomas Gaynor.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Masks will be required and 25 people will be allowed inside at a time. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. for a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave., Stratford. Masks are required by the cemetery.
