Douglas Selmont, age 31, of Glastonbury and formerly of Orange, beloved husband to Lindsey Springer Selmont and proud, loving father to Harper Elizabeth Selmont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2014 in Hartford. Born on August 18, 1982 in Norwalk, he was the son of Dennis Selmont and the late Betty Dobrzynsky Selmont. Doug was employed by Covidien and was an active supporter for the PMP Research Foundation. An avid golfer, Doug was passionate fan of the NY Mets, NY Giants and the UCONN Huskies and he enjoyed good food and good friends. A life too short, Doug will be remembered for his selflessness, enthusiasm and generosity of spirit.
In addition to his wife Lindsey, cherished daughter Harper and father, Dennis, he is survived by his brother, Jason Selmont and step-mother Elizabeth Selmont and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 10th at Holy Infant Church, 450 Race Brook Rd., Orange, CT 06477. Interment to follow at Orange Center Cemetery. Friends and Family may call on Wednesday, April 9th from 4-8 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.
