Eileen Patricia Shea, 84, long-time resident of Westport, passed away surrounded by family on July 28, 2017 at Milford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Shea. Born on November 7, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY, she was daughter of the late William and Ellen McDonnell Flanagan.  

A passionate artist, Eileen spent much of her time drawing and painting. Inspired by the things she loved, she created countless sketches, watercolors, pastels, and oil paintings of the beach, her garden and her family. Eileen was a voracious reader. When not consumed with her art, she could often be found in the library or at the beach with a book in hand on every subject imaginable.

Eileen is survived by her children, Lisa (George) Zint, Maryellen Shea, John Shea and Rosanne Shea Hall; grandchildren, Jacqueline (David) Taylor, Julia (Will) Robinson, Andrew Zint and Jack Shea; great grandchildren, Benjamin and Sarah Taylor, Henry Lee, and Thomas and Leah Robinson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Eileen Patricia Shea and brother, William Flanagan.
