Frederick “Frenchie” Beaulieu, 92, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Milford Hospital surrounded by his loving wife, children and grandchildren. He was born July 5, 1926 in Edmunston, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Willie and Agnes (Babin) Beaulieu and is predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Fred moved to Connecticut with his family in 1955. Known affectionately as “Frenchie” by his friends and co-workers, Fred began his career in CT at U.S. Motors and Armstrong Rubber Company. He eventually retired from Raybestos in Stratford. Fred will be fondly remembered for his infectious sense of humor, his love of music and dancing, and his enthusiasm for enjoying every facet of his life, especially his family. Fred was extremely proud of his heritage and love of all things Canadian, especially his passion for hockey and the New York Rangers. He was also an avid New York Yankee fan.
A life long resident of Milford, Fred is survived by his wife Rachel of 67 years, his daughters Jocelyne (George) Verrastro, Louise (Chris Calhoun) Patenaude and Micheline Steeves. Grandchildren Lisa (Jared) Stein, Mark Verrastro, Michelle (Tom) Mott, Noelle (Joe) DellaCava, Billy Patenaude, Mark Steeves and Rachel Steeves. Great grandchildren Dylan, Elena, Tyler, Jace, Derek, Madison and Emilia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 10:30 am at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Avenue, Milford, CT. Interment will be private. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT.
