George Fetcho

George Fetcho, 96, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Rose Marie (Ava) Fetcho passed away peacefully on January 16, 2019. Born on September 13, 1922 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Michael and Annie (Luhac) Fetcho.   

George was a graduate of Harding High School in Bridgeport. After graduation, George proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Remington Arms and Raybestos. George was an active member of the Milford Senior Center and was past president of M.A.L.E.S., a senior citizen men’s organization. He will be greatly missed.

George is survived by his son, Russ Fetcho of Milford; his stepdaughter, Patricia DePino and her husband Sal of Punta Gorda, FL; his daughter-in-law, Mary Fetcho; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his late wife, George was predeceased by his ten siblings and his treasured dog, Snowball.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 9 a.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Military Honors will follow. Interment will be private.
