Gordon M. Macholl Sr., age 67, of West Haven CT, beloved husband of Carol Perry Macholl, passed in peace suddenly on August 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his cherished children, Gordon Macholl Jr., Joey (Debbie) Macholl, and Steven Macholl; Amy Lloyd and Daniel (Rachel) Lloyd; sister, Connie Poulos and her husband Gene; brothers, Thomas Macholl and his wife Sharon, and Joseph Carangelo.  Gordon also leaves his treasured grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Carangelo.

Gordon was born on November 17, 1949 in New Haven to the late Dorothy and Leo Macholl. Before his retirement, Gordon worked at Barrett Outdoor Communications of West Haven. He previously worked at Dichello Distributors and was a member of Teamster’s Local 443. He was a member of the West Haven Polish-American Club. Gordon enjoyed frequent short road trips throughout New England with his wife.  He took pleasure in working on his varied home projects, was an avid cribbage player, enjoyed long walks and was fond of his ever-growing anything Harley memorabilia collection. He found great joy in lending a spontaneous helping hand to others in need.

A private memorial will be held at the family’s convenience. In remembrance of Gordon’s compassionate spirit, any random acts of kindness in his memory are appreciated. The family has been compassionately cared for by the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
