Holly Cooper Bonessi, 61, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the Smilow Cancer Center surrounded by her family. She was born to Robert Milton Cooper and the late Shirley LaRue Cooper in Omaha, Nebraska.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Barry Bonessi; her children, Beau, Ben, Chelsea, Blake; her siblings Kim Cooper (Lynn)  and Bob Cooper (Judy); her grandchildren, Ava, Andrew, Sophia, and Gabriel; her brothers-in-law, Bruce Bonessi (Marge), Ed Bonessi (Raquel), Brad Bonessi (JR); her sister-in-law, Melissa Beler; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Holly graduated from the University of Nebraska and worked as a teacher and educational consultant for HBJ. In 1988, she moved to Connecticut and in 1991, she married the love of her life, Barry Bonessi. Holly had an enormous heart and touched the lives of many children teaching in Milford Public Schools for 25 years. Holly brought joy to everyone around her, loved organizing games at family gatherings, and playing with her dogs. Her warm spirit and selfless devotion to others will leave an unspeakable void for those who knew and loved her.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Church of Christ, 34 West Main Street, Milford. Interment will be in private.
