Holly Marie Sylvester

Holly Marie Sylvester, 58, of Milford, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2020 after her battle with cancer. Born on June 17, 1962 in Derby, daughter of the late Judge Joseph H. and Marie C. Sylvester, Holly was born and raised in Huntington, educated at The Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall, New Hampshire College, and received her MBA from The University of New Haven.

Until her far too early medical retirement, Holly had achieved the well earned position as Deputy Director of Information Systems for the State of Connecticut, Judicial Branch in East Hartford. Holly enjoyed a full and exceptional life including the many pleasures it offered such as the freedom and rumble of her Harley-Davidson motorcycle, the drop top wind in her hair acceleration of her Mercedes SL550, globetrotting with her sister Sharon and her daughter Shannon, sun worshiping, her daily Gym workouts, dancing, cooking and dining out as well as the simple pleasures of a sun shower, a snow covered Christmas morning and, most important to her, spending time with her friends and family and, of course, shopping!

A devoted mother, sister, homemaker, consummate professional, and force to be reckoned with, Holly is survived by her daughter Shannon Sylvester, her life partner Wayne Nance, her sister Sharon Daddona, brother Joe Sylvester.

Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Interment will be private.
