James DeGiacomo, 87, of Milford, CT beloved husband of 57 years to Virginia (Nuccio) DeGiacomo, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2022. Born on February 21, 1935 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late James and Antoinette (Pascuillo) DeGiacomo.
James proudly served his country in the United States Army at Fort Benning in Atlanta, GA. He worked as a route salesman for Entenmann’s Bakery for nearly 30 years. He then enjoyed a second career serving in the law offices of Bai, Pollock, & Dunnigan for almost 20 years.
He was known as Jimmy to most and was incredibly loved by all. His family was the light of his life. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was an avid sports fan of the NY Mets, Jets, Knicks & Rangers and loved horse racing. He was a talented gardener and a popular friend and neighbor.
In addition to his loving wife, James is survived by his children, James A. (Michele) DeGiacomo, Suzanne (Thomas) O’Neill, Paul (Leslie) DeGiacomo; his grandchildren, Jillian DeGiacomo, Matthew (Jessica) DeGiacomo, Nicholas DeGiacomo, Michael O’Neill, Jennifer O’Neill, and Jessica DeGiacomo; and his brother, John DeGiacomo. James was predeceased by his sister, Marie Mambrino (Angelo) , and his sister-in-law Teresa DeGiacomo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish) 70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Memorial donations in James’ name may be made to the American Heart Association or Feed the Children.
