James F. Puvogel

James F. Puvogel (Jimmy), 72, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Loraine Puvogel, passed away on May 5, 2021. Born on May 23, 1948 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Jack and Irene Puvogel. He leaves behind his children, Justin, Patrick, and Meghan Puvogel; brother, John; grandchildren; and many friends.  

Jimmy started his career with a stint in the US Navy, followed by a 21 year career with the NYC Fire Department.  He spent all 21 years with Engine 41 in the Bronx.  He loved being a FDNY Firefighter, but most of all loved traveling and spending time with his loving wife, Loraine. He could often be found at the Milford Yacht Club, down by his boat, where he loved fishing and most of all spending the day with his grandchildren, Sailor, Jack, Paisley & JJ.  

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service to follow at CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. Masks will be required and social distancing enforced.
