Jean M. Bachman, 78, of Milford, beloved wife of 58 years to the late James T. Bachman, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2021. Born on November 16, 1942 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Kalinowski.
Jean was a strong faithful woman who enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and listening to classical country music. She was famous for her fruit salad and her delicious sour cream coffee cake.
Jean leaves behind her children, Michele (Richard) Rouse, James T. (Terry) Bachman, Jr., Cheryl (Robert) Hofmiller, and Mark (Kristina) Bachman; seventeen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Richard Kalinowski; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Walt Kalinowski.
Friends and family may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Due to gathering restrictions, only 50 people will be allowed inside at a time. Masks and social distancing will be required. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St., Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Masks are required. Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford.
