Jean C. Jensen

Jean Caroline Jensen, 91, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Warren Jensen, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on August 21, 2018. Born on October 21, 1926 in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Julia Billin.   

Jean worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years at both Milford Hospital and New England Home Care. She was a dedicated parishioner at Saint Mary Church in Milford. Jean enjoyed playing bridge with friends, needlework and reading. A talented seamstress, she helped create wedding dresses for her daughters and baby blankets for the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed dearly.

Jean is survived by her children, Karen Stens, Gail (Warren) Summers, June (Robert Granich) Jensen, Catherine Damon, John (Elza Olivera) Jensen, and Nora (William) Parsons; grandchildren, Cheryl (William) Mingione, Erica Cotter, Patrick (Jessica) Damon, Joanna (Ryan) Kitts-Jensen,  Michael Damon, Sean (Kelly) Damon, Owen Granich, Matthew Cotter, and Melissa Parsons; great grandchildren, Phillip, Kayley, and Sophia Mingione, Zoe Schwartz, and Casey Jane Kitts; and many extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Mann; and sons-in-law, Walter Stens and Jerry Damon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St., Milford. Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford. Friends and family may call that morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Constellation Health Services, 14 Westport Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851.
