Tribute

Jeffrey Peter Salito, 54, of Milford, beloved husband to Deanne Jovanelly Salito, entered into Eternal Peace surrounded by his loving family and friends on November 23, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeffrey was born on September 5, 1966 in Milford, CT to Genevieve Lasse Salito and the late Ralph Salito.

He attended Kay Avenue Elementary School and graduated from Jonathan Law High School Class of 1984. Jeffrey spent many of the early years of his life developing his love of the game of golf inspired by his brothers Ralph and Philip. He also spent a lot of time at Laurel Beach enjoying fishing and boating with his lifelong friends, Brian, Jim, Paul, Bobby, and Chris. He was an excellent athlete and enjoyed sports, especially watching his favorite teams - The New York Yankees, The New York Giants, and The Miami Heat.

After High School, Jeff spent the next 25 years in West Palm Beach Florida where he built his career as a golf professional and became a member of the PGA of America. He played at some of the most prestigious golf courses during his career and had always taken pride in his countless accolades he had received over the years on the links. He loved many things in life such as traveling to Saratoga, NY, fishing trips, golf with the boys, and making memories with the love of his life Deanne enjoying Broadway shows and music concerts.

Upon returning to Connecticut in 2010, Jeff started a new Journey in the Pizza Business. He is well known for his dedication and delicious pies at Papa’s II along with his generous contributions to the community.

Jeff exuded pure happiness to anyone lucky enough to have gotten a chance to know him. He had a great personality, an amazing sense of humor, and a caring generous heart of gold.

Jeff was a wonderful dedicated father to Kendra and raised her with pride. He was a loving son, caring brother, devoted loving husband, supportive and caring step-father, an amazing uncle and awesome friend to so many.

Along with his loving wife Deanne, and his mother Genevieve, Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Kendra Salito; step-children, Jessica and James DelMedico; brothers, Ralph Salito and his wife Beth and Philip Salito and his wife Kellie; and mother-in-law, Dolores Bertola. Also, a nephew, Matthew Salito (Meaghan); nieces, Alexandria Ponzio (Salvatore) and Hailey Salito; loved great-nephew, Chase Ponzio; along with many cousins and many devoted friends.
