Joan A. McCarson

Joan A. McCarson, 76, of Orange, beloved wife of the late William (Cookie) McCarson, Sr., passed away on September 12, 2022. Born on May 2, 1946 in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Trufan.

Joan graduated high school in Miami FL, retired from Cantor, Floman Law Offices where she was a closing secretary for residential and commercial properties. Joan loved to garden, cook, bake, and take the occasional trip to the Casinos with her sister Martha and Martha’s husband, Joseph.

Joan is survived by her son, William (Laurel) McCarson, Jr.; her granddaughter, Emma McCarson; her siblings and in-laws, Henry Trufan , Martha Sincavage, Sue Trufan and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joan was predeceased by her brother, Donald Trufan; her brother-in-law, Joseph Sincavage; and her daughter, Melissa D. McCarson.

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. The family is being cared for by the staff at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT.
