Joan Tarasiewicz, 82, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Casmir Tarasiewicz, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2018. Born on October 26, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Clark.
Joan proudly worked for the FBI before moving to Milford, CT with her husband and raising her family. Later on, she worked as an executive secretary at General Accidents Insurance. She was very involved with the senior citizens ceramics group and had a passion for reading. Joan was a devoted parishioner of Saint Gabriel Parish. Her loving nature and wicked sense of humor will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Joan is survived by her children, Paula (Robert) Carlino, Francis (Ruth) Tarasiwicz, and John Tarasiewicz; grandchildren, Christopher, Francis, Jr., and William; siblings, Paul (Ann), Mark (Marsha), Jerry, and Anthony (Kathy) Clark; and many friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Grace Tarasiewicz; siblings, Robert, Gregory, Francis, and Elizabeth Clark, and Eileen and Kathy Whitman; and sister-in-law, Audrey Clark.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Gabriel Church, 26 Broad Way, Milford. Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford. Friends and family may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. that morning at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT.
