John Francis Melvin

John F. Melvin, 90, of Milford and formally of Yonkers, NY, beloved husband of 66 years to the late Marie Cocciardi Melvin, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2019. John was born in Yonkers, NY to the late James and Mary Melvin.

John is survived by his children, Susan Melvin Richmond and her husband Gary, John R. Melvin, Catherine “Kat” Peterman and her husband James and Margaret Melvin; grandchildren, Heidi DeSiena and her husband Adam, Stacie Youket, Adam Peterman and Marisha Williamson, Lisette Peterman, Zachary Melvin and Tasia Massaro, Austin Peterman and Lindsay Mercier; great grandchildren, Aidan, Ariel, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Isabella, Easton and Xavier; siblings, Robert Melvin and his wife Sharon and William Melvin and his wife Eleanor. John was predeceased by his siblings, James Melvin, Mary Burpoe, George, Matthew, Thomas, Peggy Dolman and Virginia Melvin.

Friends are family are invited to call on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. A Funeral Service with Military Honors will take place at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
